In September 2016, eight months before the first NFTs were minted on Ethereum, Mike dropped his RAREPEPE token and started a chain reaction that became the NFT Cryptoart movement.

RAREPEPE is a Bitcoin NFT and the first of over 1700 rare pepe artworks minted from late 2016 to early 2018 by hundreds of artists around the world and traded on the first peer-to-peer NFT art marketplace, Rare Pepe Wallet.

The RAREPEPE featured here is a physical instantiation that utilizes an unbroken Opendime to hold the RAREPEPE token. This particular RAREPEPE is from the personal collection of Joe Looney, the creator of Rare Pepe Wallet.

Also included: a hard plastic protective case, a PEPE branded Opendime sleeve (courtesy of CryptoCloaks) and a USB flash drive containing the Rare Pepe Directory and Pepechain which can be used to verify rare pepe integrity.

Buyer may choose to have the RAREPEPE token delivered on-chain direct to their Rare Pepe Wallet.

The artist will receive 10% royalty on the sale.

Winner will also receive a GOXPEPE floppy disk NFT made by Joe in early 2019 (these have never been sold, only given to friends)

GOXPEPE is the 2nd rare pepe (S1C2) created by Mike.
