December 19th marks five years since the debut of the world’s least expensive artwork, Black Swan. In late 2018, I auctioned Black Swan with a twist. The winner would be whoever submitted the lowest bid via the lightning network. With dozens of participants, the diminutive piece created from repurposed USD and counterfeit detector pen ink sold for 1 millisatoshi (one hundred billionth of one bitcoin). At time of sale, the US-dollar denominated value of the bid was approximately $0.000000037. You can read more about the project here.

Fast forward to today and the lightning network has grown substantially - case in point the LN-powered auction platform upon which you are reading this.

I have created a limited-edition of 21 Black Swan prints on Fine Art Rag Hot Press Bright Smooth paper. Several have been given to friends and those who helped with the original auction. 10 of the remaining editions are being made available to the public (#1, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 19, 20, 21).

The top bidder can select their preferred edition number and will receive the mini safe pencil sharpener used in the promo video. Each subsequent highest bidder will be able to select their preferred edition number from the remaining editions. Tied bids go to the first bidder. If you placed multiple winning bids with the goal of ONLY purchasing a single exclusive edition, email aryan@scarce.city to remove your lower bids.

The prints ship in a hand painted frame without protective glass or acrylic. Buyer to pay shipping.
