The Work:
Melih Polat cracked the door after many years of surrealism, which he gave weight to at the beginning of his art career. He revealed what was going through his mind by blending the scene behind this door with the crypto renaissance which we are experiencing in art.
As soon as we look at the picture, we catch great wise woman Pepe's eyes at hindermost. She smiles at us confidently and proudly, knowing that change is inevitable.
As we see in the upper left corner, what pours out of Pepe's mouth, who looks up at the sky with hope, covers our soul like pleasant music. And this sound is as naif and beautiful as the flapping of a butterfly's wings.
The pregnant Pepe represents those who believe in crypto. The voice from above is so beautiful that our bodies gradually take on the color of precious beings. The figure directly to our left side represents the strength that comes with patience. When it grows ripe enough, it almost makes us feel that we can even touch the clouds. The figure emerging from the belly of pregnant Pepe represents our assets. Our assets teach that those who turn a deaf ear to the buzzing sounds coming from under the water, if necessary, they can cover up those sounds just by laughing.

Melih Polat is a contemporary artist who produces works in different disciplines such as painting, sculpture, ceramic, printing and nft.
Melih Polat, a member of the new generation of contemporary artists, primarily uses images to present his work. The artist has created works in a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, and printmaking arts. He created works with a surreal perspective, which evolved into his final works. He creates his works by filtering the events in his daily life that affect him, through his own understanding of composition, and by positioning the objects that are key points in the scenes he works on in relation to the body parts he chooses to increase his expressiveness. In his later paintings, he preferred to give the leading role to the characters he created as a child, and reinterpreted them with the shape and forms he adopted, while staging the emotions and events that had already affected him in his surreal period. He is always excited to create works in various visual art disciplines because he enjoys the novelty of change.
More than 250 paintings that he completed during his adventure in Turkey have found their way into the private collections of new and experienced art collectors from all over the world, including England, America, France (Paris), Germany, and Israel.
