Honey badger is recognised as one of the unofficial mascots of Bitcoin among other things for its anti-fragile spirit and don’t give a fuck attitude. I made this painting for a group exhibition organised by the Museum of Modern Art Ljubljana in 2020, as a response to its title ‘Viral Self-portrait’. This painting will also be part of my next solo exhibition this year titled ‘Magic internet money’ at Fabio Gatto Showroom in Milan, Italy. I’ll be exhibiting 21 large scale paintings of honey badgers honouring bitcoin and cypherpunk ideas it references.
