TGBEX operated between 2014 and 2016 and made physical bitcoins in the Isle of Man, being set-up following the closure of Casascius in 2013/14. The company was the first fully licensed retailer of physical bitcoins and was setup to promote bitcoin to ordinary people in the wake of the Mt Gox fiasco.

TGBEX was featured on Bloomberg and the BBC, was the only bitcoin company to ever feature in a phone book and was also the first bitcoin company to have a UK bank account.

The lot features 4 physical (unloaded/ unengraved with keys) bitcoins, a 0.5btc, 1btc, 2btc and 5btc coins and all are numbered 53 (so a full set of the lower denomination coins/ number 53 coins). All 4 coins come in their own presentation boxes and with a booklet explaining physical bitcoins (although now outdated and not relevant given the coins are unloaded).
