This is a 1 of 1 original art piece that is the 2nd in a series of 21 differently themed pieces in the Monopoly Series.
In 1935 Parker Brothers introduced Monopoly, the now famous board game. In the early 2000’s the US Treasury redesigned the US fiat currency to incorporate more color into the paper notes. This art piece depicts the color of US currency strikingly matching the board game money.
Using the limited selection of 127 colors found in the color palette in Microsoft Word or Excel, the odds of those colors matching the US currency are 30,507,813 to 1, that’s 30.5 billion to 1! You literally have a better chance of winning the lottery several times in your lifetime than those colors showing up in US currency as the same colors as the original Monopoly money.
A high-probability conclusion is that the US Treasury chose those particular colors on purpose! Whether they chose those colors to mock us or to warn us is a question I will leave for you to ponder…
