BOFPEPE Original Sketch - Hand Drawn by OG Rare Pepe artist MrHansel in March 17. Sketch formed the base image for the digitised 100 issue MrHansel Rare Pepe card 'BOFPEPE' released the same month. This pencil artwork was drawn on heavy duty graph paper to enhance the artists intent to create a 1950s cold war era 'tech' aesthetic. Pepe can be seen wearing a lab coat, with security pass, and pens in pocket, as a tongue in cheek 'nod' to the Rare Pepe Scientists (the Boffins), who were at the time the judges of Rare Pepe Dankness, and ultimately inclusion within the Rare Pepe Directory.

About The Artist

MrHansel is a crypto artist from Bristol (UK), who has been creating digital/physical crossover artwork since 2015. He is primarily known for his prolific work within the CounterParty community where between 2016 - 2018 he contributed 31 Rare Pepes to the Rare Pepe Directory. MrHansel's focus on iconic pop culture, traditional vintage imagery, and dank memetic humour has led to his work being highly desired and widely collected. Recently his work has featured in the Emmy & Sundance award winning 'Feels Good Man' documentary, as well as several prominent real world/Metaverse NFT exhibitions and auctions including: Narcissus Gallery, Scarce.City, NFT.NYC, CoinFest UK, and most recently Sotheby's Digitally Native collection.
