Artist Statement

"I began drawing a father/son series to work through the grief of my Pops passing. I had no initial intention to draw Pepe, but as I drew, the subject(s) took the form of this great frog. Pepe made this topic OK, OK for me to relive, OK for me to remember. That is a testament to the power of Pepe and the ability of this character to change shape. Each card represents a familiar moment between parent and child. While these cards have a personal narrative, I know this story is common for many.
